Kim Meredew studied Philosophy and Literature at Middlesex University before taking a Full time traineeship in Stone carving with English Heritage at their Vauxhall studio.

Following this, he won two competitions: The first was 'Fakes', where artists were invited to submit either copies or pieces of work in the style of Masters or established Artists. Kim produced a copy of Modigliani's stone Head from the Britain collection. The second was a competition to produce a sculpture of Christ in Ascension for Southwark Cathedral. His sculpture now stands over the Sothwark Cathedral entrance.

Since leaving English Heritage, he worked as a Restoration carver.
More recently he has worked making sculpture for White Cube, and running the sculpture studio for his friend and artist Gary Hume. Psychometry is his first solo show.
